This post is about our trip to the City of Cambridge, about 2 hours coach journey from London town. If you have not known, Cambridge University is the world’s top university and is currently ranking at UK’s Top 1 uni. It is the rival to the Oxford University (also in UK) and Harvard (in USA). So, if someone tells you that he/she is from any of these 3 uni, then you shall know that they are either a genius or a geek/bookworm! ![]()
All the pics being posted below are the artworks of SooYeshun’s. Click here for his blog.
He is an engineer graduated from the Swansea University in UK and is now working in the outskirt of London. I have known him since we were 16 or 17 when we went to the same physics tuition in Kuala Lumpur. We lost contact for a while and then somehow managed to get back in contact. He had been very nice to me and had been bringing me to a few places in London ever since I got here.. like this Cambridge trip! Other than that, he also introduced a few new friends to me here and they are awesome!! I love them all! Especially the very nice and friendly YuenLeng.
Check out all the photos below taken by SooYeshun with his DSLR and I promise you that you won’t regret it! His photography skill is very good! (except some of them are not photoshopped so it is just normal)

Yipeee! Look at our Cambridge Jump!
Just got down from the coach and needed to stretch a bit!

The first thing that we did after getting there was to go punting:

.
.
.
It is the most popular activity here in Cambridge and you can’t really say you have been to this place if you haven’t tried the punting. It is almost the same like gondola in Venice City except punting is pushing the boat with a long pole whilst gondola is pushing with an oar.

.
.
.
Taking group pic while waiting for our punting session to begin. We had 10 mins.
I don’t know what was so funny back then when we were taking the pic. I looked so silly laughing like that but I love it! ![]()

Actually, there were 5 of us but SooYeshun was the photographer so he is not in the pic. That’s the price of being a photographer.. you will never get to be in the pic!
That’s why I rather not be the photographer! HEHE!

Autumn leaves.
I find this pic really nice. It brings back a lot of memories. I am leaving London soon and heading home… and I am so gonna miss this place.

.
.
.
And soon, our punting begun!

Oh pardon me please! I forgot to introduce! From left: Tango, SooYeshun and Ryan.
Finally SooYeshun is in a pic lol! YuenLeng took the pic for them while we were punting!
.
.
.
And this is YuenLeng! She is the super friendly and super nice girl, someone really nice to talk to and I don’t think there is anybody out there who doesn’t love her!

I was too bored of taking all the regular only-smiling-pose pic so I decided to try something funny instead… like biting YuenLeng in a pic! HEHE!

Colours of Autumn. Taken during the punting.

Back then during the trip (2 months ago), it was only the beginning of Autumn.. not too long after the summer has ended.
.
.
.
Nah..! This is punting! But somehow it looks gay in the pic below! :p
Usually the guy would do the punting while the girlfriend sits and relaxes on the boat while admiring the heroic boyfriend doing the hard work.

.
.
.
And towards the end of our punting session, the sky decided to drizzle a bit and as the saying says “When the world gives you lemons, you make lemonade!”
So we camwhored with the umbrellas provided during punting! And that’s the end of our punting experience!

Church of St Mary the Great.

Also locally known as Great St Mary’s or simply GSM. Another must-visit place in Cambridge. This is the building where we were supposed to get to the top floor and have the bird’s eye view of the whole city but too bad it was closed on that day.

Some random pics taken in Cambridge by SooYeshun:

I really like this pic. So classic isn’t it?

Another greenery pic by him:

And last by not least……..

TA-DAA!
We took this pic just before we headed back to London. I like this pic a lot coz it looks like a cover of a TV series or dramas or sitcoms to me.
