Do you still remember how you were only 8.. playing sands with your bare hands and fighting with your friends over something silly? Do you still remember how you guys used to be so easily amused over something small and could laugh all day about it?

Have you ever wondered how they are doing right now? Have you ever wondered how they look like right now? Is that girl with the piggy tails and thick glasses still look the same? Is she the winner of that modeling competition by chance? Or maybe she is married now with 5 kids and residing in Canada. What about that big bully boy who used to always snatch other people’s toys? What has become of him?? Ahh… good old days! Don’t you ever wish you were back in school.. back to those good old days where you had nothing to worry about.. other than finishing the homework given by that one teacher who has always had a rotan held in her hand.

Sigh, I can’t believe there are only 6 working days left for my classmates and I to see each other in the classroom before we are off on our own to the mighty skyline. Time really flies. I still remember how I couldn’t wait to complete the training ASAP and graduate so I could start flying/working! How I couldn’t wait to earn my own money! I still remember how the graduation seemed so far away during the first day of reporting to work. How I wished I could graduate RIGHT THEN!

But now, here I am… after spending 3 months together through ups and downs, I suddenly wish we could stay together for a bit longer… I didn’t realize this at first until I was tagged in a video made by a classmate. In the video, he inserted the photos taken by all us since day 01 of the training… Together with his touching personal message and the melancholy song, it had successfully make my eyes red and filled with tears. How emotional!

After these 6 days, we will be on our separate ways. No more friends to correct us when we make mistakes. No one to hold our hands when we are lost. No more girly gossips during lunch breaks.. and definitely no more shoulder to lie on when we are down.. After these 6 days, the next time we meet would be on our graduation day… which is in roughly another 3 weeks.

Of course, we can always call each other through phones.. or can even come out to meet up during off days.. But have you thought about it before.. that our off days and working hours are different from one another? I could be working at 5am in the morning where as the rest are just back at home after a hard day’s work. My off day could be on Tuesday where as their off days could be just the day before mine or even maybe 2 days after mine.. sigh..

I don’t how to describe my feelings right now. It’s a feeling of anticipation for I can’t wait to quickly graduate and start flying.. but at the same time I can’t bear to leave my friends..

Each Hennessy Artistry event marks a different phases of my life.

For the second Hennessy Artistry event, it was exactly the night before my big day… the interview day for my cabin crew post! That’s why I had to go home early that night! (@Opera Club, Sunway)

Then… the third Hennessy Artistry event was when I had already been accepted as a cabin crew trainee and was on my second week of training! See how I was progressing? (@Zouk Club, KL)

NOW, for the 4TH one that I am going to attend, I am about to graduate from my training already!! I will SOON be an official air stewardess!! Hopefully everything will go smoothly and according to plans!

Now now, the BF might be back in KL during the next Hennessy Artistry which is on the 18th September 2010 @ Mist Club, Bangsar. And therefore, I might be bringing him along FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! That would be his FIRST appearance and exposure to the blogsphere and I wonder how it’d be like?! That would be his first time meeting all my blogger friends!

I COULDN’T STOP LAUGHING!

This sweet little girl here who likes to draw very very much has recently sketched me out of the blues.

She’s so sweet, isn’t she?? I would love a daughter like her in the future.

She’s 9 years old and is my boyfriend’s cousin in London. Took this photo last year around December when I visited London.

In the previous entry, I posted a question. Here’s the question:

If 2 planes were to lose control (touch wood!), which one do you think have a greater chance of survival during a plane crash:-

(a) the plane that is ascending (taking off)    or

(b) the plane that is descending (landing)?

and…WHY?

THE ANSWER: LANDING!

Yes, Descending/Landing would have a greater chance of surviving.

There are many many different reasons that can contribute to the chances of survival.

But during take off, the fuel tank would be FULL and if the plane were to crash, it would definitely explode!

So according to one of my instructors, the chances of survival during take off is……….. 0%!

SCARY ISN’T IT!!!?

Did you know that while you are enjoying the bird-eye-view scenery from the window panes during a take off or landing in a plane, the cabin crews will be doing their silent reviews instead for in case of an emergency? Like a crash? Or in case something goes wrong. (TOUCH WOOD!) Sounds so scaryyyyy!

2. Have you ever wondered why the window panes have to be opened during a take off and landing? And also why you will be woken up? It’s all for the safety purposes. So that you are aware and alert of what is going on, and so you could evacuate immediately during an emergency.

3. Did you know that if you’re too fat for the normal seat belt in your seat, you will be provided with an extension seat belt?! Oh my.. I surely don’t want that to happen to me!

4. Did you know that you can actually request for a panadol if you don’t feel too well while on board? I didn’t know about this before joining the airline! LOL! I didn’t even know that they do provide any sort of medication at all!

5. For a normal adult, you breathe approximately 12 to 20 times per minute. That means you breathe once every 5 seconds. And your heart beats between 60 to 80 times per minute, 60 times for when you are really relaxed.

(We were trained to be a ‘nurse’ on board too.. all the first-aid thinggy.. and CPR etc etc!)

TRY ANSWERING THIS:

I AM VERY VERY VERY DA STRESSED!

I never knew training for cabin crews can be THIS TOUGH!

Everyday we will be fed with way too much information and we only get few hours of rest everynight.

Well for me, I only get about averagely 5 hours of sleep everyday. Because after class, I would come home and revise what I have learnt for the day.. and it usually take me 2 hours to revise daily.

Every week we will be having AT LEAST one exam. Sometimes two in a week.

That means exam in every few days.

And mind you, IT IS NOT EASY!

The passing marks are either 75% or 90%, depending on the subject.

I am currently doing the “Flight Safety” subject and it is about 1 month long for only this very subject alone.

It can be considered as the most crucial part of the training because safety in a flight is very, very important.

I thought nothing can be harder than being selected as a cabin crew but the training alone is equally as tough.

I am not complaining.

As usual, I am very grateful and appreciative that I am selected. I just need a place to rant and release my stress.

I feel so guilty because I lost my temper on my mom yesterday during dinner. I really am that stressed.

I must have hurt her real bad. =/ I’m sorry mom.

The passing mark for Flight Safety papers are 90%, which means I can’t have more than 5 mistakes.

Which means I am going to need to study nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

Wish me luck for all the many many more papers to come! I know I will make it! I’ve made it this far and nothing can stop me now!

And to those who wishes to become a cabin crew, please consider yourself warned! It’s not easy!!! But it is also not impossible!

Whoever says cabin crews only know how to ask “Chicken or Fish” and “Coffee or Tea” can really go to…. sleep.

I wanted to write an emo post before this but I’ve decided that life is too short to be emo all the time.. So.. let’s get happy!!

Let me bring you back to London.. way back in December 2009! Just before Christmas..

Before that, I recently pinned one of the three badges above onto my pencil case. The one that says “I like snogging better than sex“. And a few of my classmates have been asking me for the meaning of “snogging”.

To be honest, I didn’t know the meaning of that word too until I met my boyfriend. Apparently it’s a British word.

According to www.dictionary.com:

–verb (used without object), snogged, snog·ging. British Informal. to kiss and cuddle.

Now you know the meaning!

I got the badges from the Yogurt Ice-Cream shop called “SNOG” in London.

It’s a really attractive and pinkish shop and I just won’t be able to resist the temptation whenever I pass by that place.

I went to the one in South Kensington branch while I was still in London because my boyfriend was.. and is still studying nearby.

YUMS!

Big big scoop! Guilt-free! Because I was still carefree back then.. jobless and was enjoying my life..

Didn’t have to care about my weight and BMI.

Today, I received a phone call.

A phone call from a friend whom I’ve never spoken to in the longest time.

I was never really close to her to begin with, so I was pretty taken aback upon seeing her name on the caller ID.

In fact, I was also rather surprised that I have her number saved in my phone. I don’t really remember having her contact number, let alone contacting her.

So we spoke for quite a while.. catching up on our lives. She was telling me how we should come out for a drink or two. Mind you, she’s not a lesbian. According to her Facebook’s status, she has a boyfriend.

Then slowly, she started talking about my job. Getting in into the topic… about the reason why she has called.

So she has called to ask for a favour from me. Apparently, she wants me to help her to buy some stuff when I fly in the coming days. Some designer handbags from Europe because it’s cheaper to buy it there. LOL!!

SO WTF RIGHT? But that’s the reality. So sad but that’s what is happening. For all this while, she has never even bothered to talk to me.. and today, out of the blue, she called…. but with a motive.

But she’s not the first one. There was another ex-classmate back in the primary school who suddenly dropped me a private message on Facebook few weeks ago.. asking me to help her buy some stuff when I go to a certain places.. ALL IN ONE SINGLE MESSAGE! At least the person who called today cared to ask how I am doing and beat around the bush before asking.. But the person who messaged me on Facebook, didn’t even wait for my reply first before showing me the interest of asking a favour from me. Whoa whoa whoa.. what is this?! Since when I have become everyone’s bestfriend huh? lol!

Now I know what my senior meant when she told me that I should be learning how to say NO. She says I won’t really have the time go to shopping because I will be flying short-haul flights first and usually nightstops for short-hauls are very short. Probably just enough time to have a decent dinner and a few hours of rest before getting up again for next flight. According to her, even if I have the time after dinner, the shops would all be closed by then.

Sigh. That means I won’t get to shop for my own too. =(

Anyway, I won’t be flying to Europe yet (in case you are thinking of asking me to help you buy something as well). I am still a newbie so I won’t get to fly that far….yet!

So yea, the morale of the story is… I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SAY NO.

Dear readers, care to share and give me some suggestions on what to tell people when they ask me to help them buy this and that in the near future?? Thanks in advance!

Now that I am bonded with the airline, I am not allowed to simply bling up my nails like last time. But lucky for me, I can still put nail varnish but the colours are limited. Nail arts and designs are definitely a NO!
