Ever wondered what’s the HOT colour for Christmas this year?

Well, fret no more! In this post, I am going to give everyone a simple make up guide and nail colour tips for 2011 Christmas DATE

For the make up guide, I am gonna be using the Anna Sui Christmas 2011 Collection on their Metallic Color Eye Shadow 199, 500 and 900.

And as for the nail colour, I am gonna be using Nail Colour N from Anna Sui Autumn II Collection.

Let’s begin!!

My simple tutorial this time will take place in a beautiful and romantic restaurant .. during a lunch date..

To make it easier, just imagine it’s a Christmas Date *winks*

Firstly, I would like to share that the HOT colour for Christmas this year 2011 would be….      MAROON!

So go ahead and put on a layer of base coat on your nails, darlings.. followed by Brick Red colour #402 by Anna Sui.

Later on, I would recommend a layer of glitters.. and maybe some shimmers on the nails to make them *sparkle*…

What I did was applying the below colours on top of the Brick Red alternatively on the fingers:

1. Splash Gold #005

2. Sparking Blue #107

3. Silky White #013

And don’t forget to finish it off with a layer of top coat! ^_^

Aren’t they ADORABLE?!

Gosh! Are they actually nail varnishes?! Wearing such pretty and cute vintage gowns?! Sometimes they make me wonder… where do they get all these crazily creative ideas from?! Even my date of the day commented on these adorable bottles..

And not forgetting my favourite thing about them: the tea rose scent of the nail varnishes! Thank to Anna Sui, gone are the days where nail varnishes stinking the whole room!!

NEXT– on how to achieve eyes like the above pic!

Simple.. and yet alluring! Instantly brighten your eyes, making them appearing bigger too~

After your foundation and concealer etc, begin by dabbing the Anna Sui’s Metallic GOLD Colour Eye Shadow #500 on the entire eye lid. This would give your eyes the sparkling effect!

Then, draw a thin line of liquid black eyeliner on the upper lash line.

Next is when the Metallic Blue #100 comes in the picture.

Put it on the lower part of the eyelid, slightly just above the black eyeliner.

Next would be the mascara… or I personally prefer the fake eyelashes! ^__^

It’s my personal style to keep my eye colours and eyeliners to the minimum.. and depending on the fake eyelashes to bring out the eyes! Like the Japanese dolly doll effect! Tehehehe~ and don’t forget the blusher and lip gloss, darlings! <3

ONE tip to my dear readers.. always put on a line of WHITE shimmers on the inner corners of the eyes. This is to give your eyes the instant glow and watery-eye effect!  You should really try it and see the difference!!

I recently came upon this quote photo on my friend’s fb page.

“Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness.”

I find it really inspiring and loved it instantly! I think life is too short to be miserable and upset over something small. Let’s move on and be happy all the time! This is what we call life, people!!

I bought this Hand Oil from Body Shop yesterday. I was initially looking for a good cuticle oil for my restless poor nails because I ALWAYS have my nails polish on 24/7. So I thought I’ll give my nails some supplements… other than the strengthener. Ended up got persuaded by the consultant at Body Shop and fallen into buying this ‘Hand Oil for EXTRA DRY SKIN’ instead.

At first I find it really greasy, but later on I realised it got absorbed really quickly too! I would recommend this to my dear air crew friends who has got dry skin due to the nature of our job scopes and also for flying in the air for such long hours all the time! And not forgotten for anyone who has got OCD and has the needs to wash their hands all the time.. just like me!! >.<”

I just cant stand the idea of knowing my hands are exposed to the bacteria and gems! I need to know that my hands are clean all the time.. so whenever after touching something, I would wash my hands with soap! >.< And that will for sure gives me very dry skin. I’ve even tried hand sanitizer before but that was worse!

Speaking of pampering myself…

I went to do some shopping with my Mom today. Treated her to a good dinner on a great Sunday evening before continuing our shopping and walked past Crabtree & Evelyn’s. Decided to go in for a look and …. only just remembered that I’ve got a set of Pomegranate’s Bath & Shower gel + Body Scrub for my birthday last month! LOL!

I’ve neglected that birthday gift for so long now and have never used it at all. In fact, I’ve never even bothered to have a sniff  or unwrap the box! I finally had a sniff at them in the shop and… WOWW! I loved the smell like… puppy love! lols wtf! Was even tempted to get their hand therapy tube too!

The first thing I did when I got home was to unwrap that gift and take a longgg hot shower!! LOL!! I can’t tell you how contended I feel right now.. and how good I smell right now! XD I just feel so happy~ lalalaaa~

I recently read an article by news.com.au and it’s about cabin crew’s real stories.. I STRONGLY agree on them!! And I think EVERYONE should have a look at the article and put it in your mind whenever you are traveling!

IF you’ve left the door open while peeing, if you listen to music while they try to talk to you or if you’ve tried to grab a seat in the crew rest area; then flight attendants hate you.

Flight attendants from around the world have broken their silence to reveal the things that passengers do that really gets under their skin.

While Kevin Rudd’s alleged angry outburst at a flight attendant and Naomi Campbell’s infamous cabin catfight have hit the headlines, it’s these everyday annoyances that really get their goat.

YOUR SAY: Tell us about your worst experiences with crazy cabin crew below.

You leave the door wide open when you pee.

“One of the most annoying things passengers do is not closing the lavatory door,” celebrity flight attendant David Holmes from Southwest Airlines said.

You double order your drinks.

“Asking one flight attendant for a drink and before they get back with it, asking another flight attendant for the same drink, is bad news,” Bethany Burke, a flight attendant from Florida, US, said.

You tap flight attendants on the shoulder to get their attention.

“Passengers tap me to get my attention but then don’t give me eye contact when talking to me,” Mr Holmes said.

“Passengers wouldn’t take off their headsets when I asked them if they wanted food or drink,” ex-hostie Susan, who worked for Qantas for over 20 years, said.

“When I ask passengers if they’d like something to drink, three times out of five the response will be ‘Wha?’ And that’s a ‘wha’ without the ‘T’,” Heather Poole, flight attendant for a major US carrier, said.

“‘Something to drink?’ I’ll ask again, and while I ask this question I find myself wondering why you haven’t taken off the iPod or those giant Bose noise cancellation headsets covering your ears when you see me standing at your row.”

You stuff your bag to breaking point and then ask for help to stow it away.

“The worst is when people bring a heavy bag onboard, then tell me that they can’t lift it overhead because of a bad back,” Mrs Burke said.

“Lifting your bag into the overhead bin is not, nor has it ever been, part of my job description. Honestly, I don’t know what bothers me more, the fact that a passenger will come on-board and expect me to lift their bag, or the fact that they actually get upset when I won’t lift the bag,” Mrs Poole said.

You complain about the overhead bin being full and make a fuss about having to put your bag in the rows behind.

“Passengers who get annoyed about the overhead bins near their seats being full, and then say the word “ridiculous”, are so annoying,” Mrs Poole said.

You order a special meal and then change your mind at the last minute.

“I hate it when passengers order a vegetarian, kosher or fruit special meal and then want a regular meal instead,” Mrs Burke said.

You’re messy and inconsiderate.

“There’d be so many people who’d just throw things on the floor right in the middle of the cabin, such as newspapers they’ve finished with or rubbish,” Susan said.

“Surprisingly, it’s no different in first class, they’re just as messy as the other passengers.”

You read up about getting free upgrades and pull all the tricks to try and get your way.

“Another annoying thing is the tricks people used to play to get upgraded,” Susan said.

“You could see the pattern for a lot of people, but if they win it’s just rewarding them for bad behaviour.”

You expect to be told the moment you change time zones.

“Passengers often want to know exactly when they should change their watch when crossing time zones,” Mrs Burke said.

You try and take over the crew rest area.

“Trying to sit in our crew rest seats, which are sacred to us, is a very bad idea,” Mrs Burke warns.

You enter the galley(pantry area) without permission and loiter.

“Unless you’ve actually been invited into the galley (it does happen), you do not  step onto the floor for any length of time,” Mrs Poole said.

You spill water on the toilet floor and leave without cleaning it up.

“People would leave water on the floor after using the toilet, forgetting about all the other passengers who may slip and fall,” Susan said.

You have unrealistic expectations of your air travel experience.

“I saw a first-class passenger chuck a hissy fit as we didn’t have the right flavour of yogurt onboard. A bit unrealistic,” Susan said.

YES! Fish Leong was on my flight on 13th June 2011!

Please do not tell me that you don’t know this lady in the photo. Her name is Fish Leong and is known in the public as Leong Jing Ru in Chinese. If you really don’t know her, then you have to click here to read more about her!

When she first boarded the plane, I did not recognise her at all! She boarded with a group of people dressed all nicely in funky dresses/attires. My supervisor and I thought they were either Korean or Japanese at first. Then I heard two of them speaking in Mandarin. So I thought they were some rich people from China (coz I personally think that in China, you gotta have some pennies to be able to travel for a holiday.. even though it’s only Langkawi Island).

Only 5 of them were in Business Class, and I served them some juices.. and that’s when I spotted her! With another woman who looked alike her, sitting by her side (she gotta be her mom!).

Later, when I had the opportunity, I told my supervisor about her but unfortunately, he doesn’t even know her. =____=” And my supervisor was a Chinese. =___=

But I can’t blame him for not knowing her because he can’t even speak Chinese, let alone listens to Chinese songs. Then I told the other colleagues working in Economy Class but they were ALL Malays, so obviously none of them know her. Finally, a Chinese pilot knew her lol! He wanted to ask for her autograph too but I told him that she doesn’t look too friendly.. and he waved the idea away..

It was an easy flight. From Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur was only 55 mins or less. So all 5 of them didn’t want to eat or drink anything. They only wanted to sleep, so I gave them blankets. Fish wanted 2 blankets! I could see she was really skinny.. so she was probably feeling really cold for not getting all the fuel needed by the body. Only Fish’s mother wanted a glass of warm water and some peanuts. So I served her and chatted with her a bit. The mother was a friendly woman. I complimented her and her beautiful pieces of jeweleries and made her happy by giving her MORE and MORE peanuts for her to tapao back home..LOL! It was boring anyway, nothing to do. Might as well make good use of my PR skill!

While chatting with the mother, I found out that there were actually more than 5 of them in the flight. The rest of them were seated in Economy Class (lol!!!) and only the VIPs get to sit in Business Class. I didn’t ask more about what they were doing in Langkawi because I didn’t want to sound like a stalker. Before I ended the conversation, I told her my intention on wanting to take a photo with her daughter. She promised to ask the daughter for me.

Fish and the rest of them finally woke up when the plane landed safely into Kuala Lumpur. As soon as the mother saw me, she told me that she’s asked the daughter  but she couldn’t take a photo with me because she looked awful after waking up. Fish personally said sorry to me and the PAs were making noises and being protective lol! I totally understood because I could see her eyes were red from the sleep and she was really exhausted. So she gave me an autograph instead. I wanted to ask her to write more on her autograph.. like.. my name and some dedications on the page, but I didn’t want another rejection.. so I said thank you and bidded them goodbyes.

It was a good experience though, because I really like her songs alot alottt! It’s not like it was my first time seeing someone famous on board.. but it’s just that I looked up to her for being only a Malaysian but managed to make it big internationally.

That’s her current hairstyle. That’s the latest one, in bright reddish purple. And she was wayyyyyyy skinnier when she was on my flight compared to this photo. Like, totally skinny!

During a domestic transit, I went to the ladies’. As I was doing my business (sorry for the bad taste), I saw a shadow of someone peeping under my cubicle’s door. I WAS SO SHOCKED that I wanted to scream! But before I could scream, he saw me noticing him and he ran off..

Seconds later, he came back in and peeped at me again! This time, I yelled at him! And noticed that it’s a boy.. a kid barely 10 years old in my opinion. He was smart enough to peep a little farther than where he did previously. He ran off again after being yelled by me.

Then, barely 20 seconds later…….. guess what?!?!?! HE CAME BACK IN AGAIN AND DID THE SAME THING! And he was peeping at an even farther position this time, in hope that I wouldn’t see/notice him. Deep in my heart, I was like.. WTF?! I took out my phone and tried to take his photo! (smart leh me?!?!) Hahaha! When he saw my phone, I heard his confused voice sounded something like “hmm??”.. He was probably wondering what the heck was I doing with the phone near the ground. Little did he know, I took his photo and he ran off again after seeing the flash and the camera clicking sound.

I was so bloody angry, I quickly finished off my business and washed my hands.. As I was walking out from the ladies’ in hope to find that little culprit (so I could talk to his parents), he walked back in and bumped into me straight! It was obvious that he wanted to peep at me again! WTF! He flew off right after seeing me.. ran ran ran towards his parents! LOL! This little one is not so smart afterall.. He wanted to shed shelter and protection from his parents but it was the most unwise decision ever!

I stomped my way towards his parents who were sitting down in a quiet corner while he was hiding behind his dad. I could see both his parents were looking at my angry face and were wondering what was happening. I was very angry at that time and as I opened my mouth to speak to his mom, I saw her holding a baby infant girl in her arms.. and I soften a little.. awww..

The mother was a very small-framed lady and speaks politely. I could see she was quite religious as she was wearing a tudung with decent clothes. I told her what exactly happened and even showed her the photo that I took with my phone. I could see her horrified face.. and his dad was shaking his head in disbelieve. The mother felt so sorry that she kept on apologising. She even caught hold of her son and raised her hand but I stopped her from beating him. I told her that he is still young and he’s just a kid. Her eyes were watery, and she hugged the son emotionally. I didn’t want to see her cry so I told her not to worry about it and advised her to just pay more attention to him.

Before I left, she held my hands tight and said sorry again. I walked away feeling a burning sensation on my face. I could feel my cheeks flushed. I was angry.. but at the same time, I had a mixed feeling.. Did I do the wrong thing? Was I too much? But then again, if we don’t educate and teach them the right way while the kids are still young, what would happen to them when they are older? When they are an adults?

I LOVE Kota Kinabalu! It is currently my favourite domestic destination in Malaysia! Everytime when I see a Kota Kinabalu layover on my roster, my face will automatically curves into a smile! There’s just so much to do there!

Whenever I go over to the Borneo Island (Kota Kinabalu) for duty, the guy below, Hayden will ALWAYS try his BEST to bring me around.. and lepak! AND MAKAN!!

He is such a sweet & kind guy.. and cute too!! XD Isn’t he?!

But too bad girls, he is only JUST taken 2 months ago! Hahaha~ but if ya still insist on knowing him, drop me a message! And I shall see what I can arrange for ya! Kekekee~

This time round, he brought me to a Food Review in Kota Kinabalu! Oh my, it was my first ever food review out of Kuala Lumpur.

What’s more.. when I found out that it was actually a bread and pastries food tasting! My heart skipped a beat! XD It’s my favouriteeee! I could eat bread.. and especially pastries, ALL DAY LONG!

(ok that kinda explains my round face and the chubbiness bit)

Hi! Welcome to German Bread and Pizza in Damai, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

It was so much FUN, that it was more like an educational school’s field trip that we used to do when we were little.. where we visited the bread factory and etc. And I actually got the chance to have hands-on on the process of making and baking the GERMAN breads and pizza!! Read on!

This is the Roasted Onion Bread.

It smelled and tasted just as good as it looks like in the photo. Seriously! What I liked best about this bread is that.. it wasn’t oily at all! Perfect for my diet.

And this is Mr Adam, whom originally from Sentul in KL.. but currently moved and settled down in KK. He is the anchor staff of the shop and he was the one who patiently guided and showed us around on how to make and bake all the fresh stuff in the shop!

This funny looking bread caught my attention.. and Adam explained that it is the classic German bread called Ciabatta. It generally tasted a lil sourish.. and it was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. (sounds just like how I would like my other half to be- crunchy or tough on the outside and soft on the inside!)

Next! I got the chance to bake some Cheese and Garlic bread. Looking good, isn’t it?!

I meant MYSELF looking good! Not only the bread, please! I could bet that I am the perfect housewife you are looking for!! HAHAHAA!

What’s more to say? 3 words explain it all:

#1 Cheese: Mouth-watering..

#2 Garlic: So fragrant!

# German: Creative!

p/s: the fingers in the photo were mine.. and I intentionally took a photo with them in it because I’ve just done the french manicure and I want it to be remembered! tehehe~

Pick your own healthy choice!! The best part of this shop is that they are free from any preservatives and they stand strongly on the healthy diet lifestyle of their consumers. I WISH THEY HAVE A BRANCH NEARBY MY HOUSE!! >.< It’s sooooo ME!

Were you stuck in the bad traffic when the Royal Wedding between Prince William and now Princess Kate was happening?! Well, I got back from work around 3pm and the traffic was already starting to build up! No idea why! But I do know that today was the launch of the Ipad 2! AND ALSO THE ROYAL WEDDING! Zomg!!!

Did you miss the Royal Wedding’s live broadcast on the youtube or TV?!! Well, YOU REALLY DID MISS OUT!! I reckon you finish reading my post and then quickly go youtube some of the videos that you missed out!!

Just like fairytale, everything seems like a dream came true. Before this she was just a commoner who happened to be studying in the same university as the nation’s beloved Prince..

Then, she happened to be his housemate.. and happened to be modeling  for a charity fashion event where she modeled a gossamer lace dress over a black bra and bikini bottoms! And… that’s when the Prince was said to have laid his eyes on her!!! Grrrr lucky woman!!

Right after Princess Kate Middleton and her father Michael Middleton had done walking down the aisle of the Westminster Abbey, the Prince whispered something along the line “You look beautiful..you are lovely” to her. Awww~ You probably won’t feel anything when you read it here but when it was broadcasted live, you could really see the sincerity and seriousness in the Prince’s eyes.. you could practically feel the love in the air!!! Especially the way he looked into her eyes! *melts*

She was wearing a simple and yet elegant wedding dress by Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen. Also wearing was the Cartier tiara owned by The Queen herself, which she lent it to Princess Kate. Not forgetting the diamond oak-leaf earrings which was given to her by her parents.

Did you know that they did NOT exchange rings during the wedding ceremony?! Yes, you read it right.. they did NOT exchange rings..!

It was a pure traditional royal wedding where only the man would give the bride a ring. Because in earlier days, a woman was said to be as the man’s possession.. O_O

THEIR FIRST KISS by the balcony at the Buckingham Palace!

Did you also know that they did NOT kiss after exchanging vows at the Westminster Abbey?! Reason being said: traditional royal wedding! They only had their first public kiss (after getting married) by the balcony of Buckingham Palace.. that lasted for only … two seconds?! They were SO SHY omg… It seems like they kissed just for the sake of pleasing the public, or simply because they HAD to kiss (everyone was expecting and waiting to see their kiss).

Probably after the first kiss, the Prince realised that the kiss wasn’t sincere enough, so he sneaked in another kiss and this one lasted longer and more affectionate. AWWWWWW~

But then again, if it were me, I would feel the same too.. so shy nehhh >.< Everyone was looking staring!

Okay here is a picture of me in front of the Buckingham Palace during my first London visit back in October 2009! That was about 1 and a half years ago!

Alright I know I look FUGLY and funny here.. >.< But please concentrate on the building and background, and not the silly girl in the pic! Thanks!

AND BEST OF ALL… THE WESTMINSTER ABBEY!! I WAS THERE!!

That very own church that the Royal Wedding was held!! Where all the VVIPs were at, including David Beckham and Victoria Beckham!

I can’t believe they held their wedding here! Back then in Oct 2009 when I visited that place, I’d NEVER thought that my childhood prince charming would be marrying his bride here today, right where I stood 1 and a half years ago… wuwuwuwuuu~ T__T

Lessons learnt:

#1 NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD!!

#2 AND FAIRYTALES DO EXIST IN THIS WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea what we were talking about? Here are some hints:

Well, all this while, Mr Boyfie has been complaining that I have been getting only women’s fragrances for product reviews but none for men’s (because he knows if I were to get men’s.. the chances is that I will give them all to him). So he tried to brainwash me about how men wear perfume for the opposite sex and thus I should review only men’s perfumes. LOLS!!

AND finally, his wish came true.

It is a double happiness for him because:

• He is getting TWO perfumes by Hugo Boss at the same time..

• and his favourite F1 drivers are the ambassadors! FYI, Hugo Boss is the only fragrance that features F1 drivers!

1. BOSS Bottled Review:

Apparently it was launched in 1998 but is still amongst the top 10 in the global male fragrance market. And Lewis Hamilton is the face of this bottle! (One of Mr Boyfie’s fav F1 drivers).. Oh boys will always be boys..

Mr Boyfie had the perfume on when we went on our lunch date in Dubai. French cuisine, anyone?!

I find the smell of this bottle of BOSS a lil milder compared to the second bottle(Night), and smells rather casual too. It reminds me of the word ‘fun’ and has a sweet scent..

Ahh! Okay I know what it reminds me of now.. it reminds me of my Anna Sui’s Flight of Fancy perfume. Next time I’m gonna put on my Anna Sui’s perfume when Mr Boyfie is putting on this one. We shall make a sweet-smelling couple! HEHE!

One of the best lunch we had in Dubai. Some stuffed chicken with mash potatoes that almost sent me licking the plate clean. ALMOST.

2. BOSS Bottled. Night. Review:

This bottle of BOSS was launched in late 2010, and has a very masculine scent. I believe all the men out there would love to have this bottle. Jenson Button from McLaren is the face of this perfume, guys!

Random: That’s him falling asleep on my shoulder. He is so gonna kill me if he knows I publish this photo! >.<

Back to the BOSS Bottled. Night. perfume, I find it a rather classy scent. Very masculine…  in another word; very ‘manly’.. AND SEXY! Definitely a stronger scent than the previous bottle, and it screams “Career Man” and “Future Millionaire in Action”!

I would recommend this for a night out in the clubs, or a romantic evening date with the special girl. I’m sure she will be blown away by your sexy smell!

p/s: I just got back home from work, and my colleague (a steward) was using this perfume!! LOLs! He didn’t know I was doing a review on this perfume, and I went on and on about this bottle.. About when it was launched, who is the ambassador.. etc etc.. And oh dear, it got him wondering how comes I know so much about this perfume! Kekekekee!
